Digital transformation is essential for business growth today, but small and medium-sized enterprises face increasing challenges in protecting their cloud environment. To address this pressing challenge, the Go Cloud! Go Secure! Erasmus+ initiative (2024-1-AT01-KA220-VET-000245093) aims to provide SMEs with the knowledge and practical tools to improve their digital security and competitiveness.

Over a period of 2 years, until October 2026, participants will develop a cloud security matrix to assess the risks for businesses, create an implementation model to help businesses use the cloud securely, and launch a free online training course to provide cloud security skills for business leaders and their staff.

The relevance of the project is reflected in the fact that SMEs account for 99% of businesses in the EU and are particularly vulnerable to cyber-attacks. In fact, according to Symantec’s 2016 Internet Security Threat Report, 43% of cyber attacks target small businesses and 60% of small businesses that suffer a cyber attack go bankrupt within 6 months.

The Go Cloud! Go Secure! project aims to provide businesses with tangible, easy-to-use tools and knowledge to effectively defend themselves against these threats. The project will provide SMEs with a range of free training, information and technical materials.

The Go Cloud! Go Secure! project is being implemented under the Erasmus+ KA220-VET programme from November 2024 to October 2026 with a grant of €250,000 from the FH JOANNEUM (Austria) – leader partner, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Csongrád-Csanád (Hungary), I.E.R.F.O.P. ONLUS (Italy), ETE FAROS LTD (Cyprus) and Acta Consulting Ltd.
